About us
Since then, Ka-La-Ju Trans has established itself as the leading transportation choice for multiple Jewish organizations in the Midwest and many families living in Chicago and visiting the city.
In December of 2018, Jeffrey Kane passed away, leaving three loving sons, a daughter, and a wife. In his memory, the family decided to carry on and continue to serve its community.
Today the company has expanded its fleet to serve more clients in the Chicagoland area and the entire Midwest. With the ability to provide transportation for the elderly and handicapped, Kalaju Trans is the preferred transportation service of many senior homes and medical centers. The company offers school carpools and rides from and to different after-class activities, helping parents and teachers. In the last six years, Kalaju Trans have provided transportation for various public schools throughout the Chicagoland for children with special needs. The latest additions to the company fleet are wheelchair handicap accessible vans.
Servicing ORD and MDW airports, Kalaju Trans drivers are experienced in assisting in business trips or family vacations. Several seven-passenger vehicles with large luggage capacity are the latest addition to the company fleet.
The company also delivers Romanian kosher meat products in Chicago and the surrounding states and food orders from Skokie and Rogers Park restaurants.
Despite a setback during the COVID-19 pandemic, Kalaju Trans survived to continue the mission foreseen by its founder Jeffrey Kane. For more than eight years, the company has continued to provide FREE rides for Cancer patients in need and collaborates with various Jewish organizations. The company drivers and fleet undergo special training to ensure safety, good service, and regular vehicle inspections.
